If you read this blog, then you know that some serious stuff going on. (Great news though, my cancer after seven months of treatment is in remission…don’t have to go back for 6 more months unless I get sick) The TBI seems to be getting a bit better. Not close to where I should be, however, there are bigger fish to fry and one step at a time.
I have to have surgery to repair the damages done by my ex, Joseph Michael De Riso, from his violent attack where he decided to slam my head against a wall repeatedly and hit me in my face repeatedly. The damage to my face is not one that will just heal and go away. I have to have surgery. Unfortunately, this surgery exceeds $35,000. The state victim’s compensation fund will help with $1,000 of the cost. Yeah, you read that right one whole thousand dollars which barely covers two doctor appointments. The Court could require him to pay for the damages. However, this is a guy who I paid his child support for him because he was too broke all the time to pay it. (and his parent’s are enablers so they pay his way for everything) So I have two options. Either live with the side effects of the facial and sinus damage or get the surgery. Considering the damage has affected my vision and other things like BREATHING, I think I will go with option two.
